CLAIMS AGAINST SECURITIES BROKERS
AND INVESTMENT ADVISERS

Bad Advice or Research

Brokers must have a reasonable basis for the recommendation of a security. This means the broker must have actual knowledge of the facts concerning the security and the facts must support the recommendation. Any special compensation the broker is receiving for the recommendation or any conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
